So it ended up being an ok evening. We were warm, but it did start to cool down once the sun set. The food was good. The tarantula went away and we haven't seen any more in the back yard. Just for fun here is a video.

you mean to tell me you didn't kill that thing!!!! I would not be able to sleep at night knowing it was still alive. You are more woman than I am!!!! Love ya, Devin
